PROJECTS
Grand Traverse 4 Uganda supports several projects in the Wakiso District in the central region of Uganda. This district is near Kampala, Uganda's capital city. Over 3 million people call Wakiso home! Each project exists to share the gospel with the people it serves, while also improving the quality of life of each person reached.
WellsClean water transforms a village by providing safety for the women in their community, and improving the health and quality of life for all who call the village home. So far, Grand Traverse 4 Uganda has helped build 10 wells in the Wakiso District of Uganda. More are in the works and depend on grants and gifts from from foundations and individual donors.

SoccerSoccer league, started to keep young kids off the streets, is helping children find purpose and dignity in living right, as well as giving them an understanding of the Good News of Jesus!

SlumsGodfrey and some volunteers feed about 150 children every Saturday and share the Gospel with the kids living in the slums of the Wakiso District. They play soccer here in the dirt and mud every day.

Bicycle TeamGodfrey ministers to the national Ugandan bicycle team with devotions and encouragement. They're a leading inspiration to Ugandans!

Solar BiblesWhen a person hears the Word of God in their own language, it can change their life for eternity. Solar Bibles are audio Bibles, recorded in Luganda, and rechargeable by solar power.

MechanicsGodfrey meets regularly with a group of mechanics for fellowship and Bible study. He encourages them to be men of God, faithful husbands, and caring fathers. All of those things are counter-cultural in Uganda!

SewingA Ugandan woman trains young women to sew and assists them in creating microbusinesses so they can support themselves financially. Godfrey meets with them and supplies fabric and notions they need.
